My blogbuddy Kevin, over at kapgar, is some kind of marketing whiz kid or something. When he heard about fellow blogger Paul Davidson’s conceptually-brilliant second novel, The Lost Blogs From Jesus To Jim Morrison, he got so excited he wanted to tell the world. Since only half the known world reads kapgar, Kevin decided to enlist the help of his fellow bloggers in spreading the word about the upcoming publication of this blogstorical milestone. He launched his Grassroots Campaign on February 21st, and interest has spread like, well, like a grassfire.
Here’s the plan: Paul’s book is a collection of blog entries by historical personages — how they might have blogged if the technology had existed back in their day. Kevin suggested each of us choose a famous person to blog as for one week. We had to choose someone NOT in Paul’s book, we have to post an entry every day for five days, and we can’t reveal who we are blogging as until the week ends. Sounds like fun, huh? I thought so! Of course I signed up.
So starting next Monday, Chronic Listaholic will be on vacation, and this venue will host the blog of a certain historical entity whom I’ll be channeling. I’m excited about the change of format, and hope you’ll all enjoy reading what “we” have to say.
If not, there’s 38 other bloggers to choose from! (Check the sidebar for a full list of participating bloggers.)
